First auction of personalised number plates in 2009 announced.
The first auction of personalised number plates in 2009 has been announced.
It will take place on on 28th, 29th, 30th January 2009. The venue is Whittlebury Hall, Northamptonshire, NN12 8QH.
This will be the 20th such auction and will be organised by Premier Motor Auction on behalf of the sale of marks group,DVLA.
There will be 1600 personalised number plates auctioned over the three days.
You are allowed to bid by phone, post, online or in person but you must register in advance and obtain a bidder’s number.
This is done by obtaining a catalogue either by download or by post.
Some of the attractive registration to be offered include ANN 1X with a reserve of £700, SCR 3W with a reserve of £900 and SEA 1S with a reserve of £700, but the jewel is 1O which could be the number 10 or LO or IO.
It is rare for such a short number to be offered and follows the success of 1 RH which brought £196,000 before commission,vat and transfer fee which adds almost 25% to the hammer price.
